INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE VACANT POST OF COLLEGE REGISTRAR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the post of REGISTRAR in the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, Gombe State.

THE POSITION:

The Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the College. He/she shall be responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration of the Institution. The Registrar is Secretary to Governing Council, Academic Board and to the all other Statutory Committees in the College. He/she act in advisory capacity on rules, regulations and procedures of the College and keeps custody of the College records and documents.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

i. A good honour degree in any of the Social Sciences, Art Subjects from any recognized institutions of higher learning.
ii. Must possess relevant Master’s degree from a recognized Institution of higher learning with at least 18 years cognate work experience. Possession of a Doctoral degree is an added advantage.
iii. Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15 in a College of Education.
iv. Evidence of continues mandatory professional development.
v. Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
vi. Must be a member of recognized professional body in relevant field.
vii. Successful candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment.

SALARY AND TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:

The terms and conditions of appointment of the Registrar are as obtainable in Federal Colleges of Education System and as may be modified from time to time by competent authorities. The Registrar shall hold office for a single five (5) years tenure as specified in the Federal College of Education Act.
