1996: The Birth of a Jewel
Gombe State was carved out of Bauchi State by the military administration of General Sani Abacha, marking the beginning of a new administrative era for the Savannah region.
2000: Operational Authority
The Federal Character Commission formally established its Gombe presence to ensure the principles of fairness and equitable distribution of resources across the newly formed federating units.
